The Master of Public Health (MPH) program at the Indian Institute of Public Health-Bhubaneswar (IIPHB) is a comprehensive two-year, full-time course affiliated with PHFI Institute of Public Health Sciences (Deemed to be university under distinct category, University Grants Commission), Telangana, India. Launched in August 2021, this program is designed to address public health challenges with a curriculum that integrates education, research, training, and advocacy. IIPHB, established through a collaboration between the Government of Odisha and the Public Health Foundation of India, leverages its extensive national and international connections to offer a high-quality, interdisciplinary education. The MPH program aims to develop skilled public health professionals capable of advancing India’s health systems and contributing to Sustainable Development Goals and Universal Health Care, ensuring that its content and context are both locally relevant and globally competitive.

The Public Health Nutrition elective in the MPH program at IIPHB, developed in collaboration with UNICEF Odisha, focuses on addressing nutritional challenges of the country. This course provides students with the expertise to address and improve nutritional challenges at both community and national levels. It aims to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to design, implement, and evaluate effective nutrition programs and policies.
